Mr Bunbury began when one Mr Nick Fox realised his dream job would involve eating yummy chocolatey things all day. The idea soon came to him to start making some sincerely delicious little cakes baked with the very best ingredients and, in May 2008, Mr Bunbury was born.

In Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, Mr Bunbury is a fictitious character whom Algie says he has to visit to avoid attending boring engagements. We want our cakes to represent a moment of uncomplicated pleasure in people’s days. “Going for a Bunbury” is the ultimate escapism!
